The Israeli military is preparing for potential attacks after the IDF struck Hezbollah infrastructure in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The IDF said it was ready for a retaliatory strike “in the coming hours” in response to a strike conducted on a command centre used by Hezbollah.

“Following the IDF strike in Beirut… the IDF is preparing for potential fire toward the territory of the state of Israel in the coming hours,” the military said.

The Israeli military did not specify in their statement where the attack was expected.

The number of confirmed casualties from Israel’s airstrike is three, according to Lebanon’s civil defence.
