"The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, stated that the armed forces detected, at dawn today, a number of hostile drones within Kuwaiti airspace, and they were dealt with in accordance with established procedures," the army said in a statement.
"The armed forces affirm their full readiness to maintain the security of the homeland and the safety of citizens and residents," it added.
The incident comes after the United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems successfully engaged 2 UAV’s launched from Iran on Sunday.
Since the onset of the Iranian attacks, UAE air defenses have engaged a total of 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles and 2,265 UAVs, the ministry says.
